Gede & Watamu – Culture and Ocean
Day trip from Malindi: history in the morning, ocean in the afternoon.
Morning departure from Malindi to the Gede Ruins, an ancient Swahili city hidden in the forest. A walk among mosques, palaces and coral stone walls where history, mystery and nature coexist in silence. Short, intense and fascinating.
Afterwards, transfer to Watamu for lunch by the ocean. Fresh seafood, relaxed atmosphere and the sound of the sea close by.
The afternoon is dedicated to beach time: white sand, turquoise water and a slower rhythm.
Return to Malindi in the late afternoon.
Culture in the morning, ocean in the afternoon. Perfect balance.
